Madison Handley

I seek out dark spaces to fill with light.

Contrast and color are my bread and butter, but I can still rock monochrome.

My Story

Madison Handley is a Commercial Still Life and Fashion Portraiture Photography based in Southern California. Her still life and fashion work satisfy her many interests and skills. When working on products, Madison's attention to detail is important to the clean, bold, and dynamic quality of the images and has an interest in using a products's purpose to guide the imagery. Still life allows for Handley to be precise, experiment with different textures, and create something never seen before. In her portrait work, Madison strives to empower her subjects and highlight what is most important to represent the subject's true beauty.

Madison got her start with a camera in high school yearbook. After spending three years as an editor and shooting every sport and event that caught her eye, Madison began to take portraits of fellow classmates. Madison followed her passion to Academy of Art University's Photography program. From her high school years, she has formed an interest in motion and dynamic compositions both in her still life and portraiture. During her studies, she created personal projects including Medication Dependencies, Deconstructed Panoramas, and Beauty From My Eyes.
